“Miss Leblanc”

Berth Number: M005

Boat Name: “Miss Leblanc”

Description: Falcon Tenders design intent was to develop an extremely stylish high-quality performance open limousine with completely new lines, exterior and interior finishes and textures using sustainably sourced materials. Seating capacity, ease of launching, crew operation, passenger boarding and stowing of hand luggage have been carefully considered whilst delivering beauty along with performance and the smoothest possible, quiet and dry ride.

Falcon Tenders has been in development for the past three years. We have now launched two completely unique limousine tenders to the market designed by the prominent studio of Michael Leach Design, with many collaborations on the table with a large number of high-profile superyacht designers. In 2022 Falcon secured three signed contracts for completely unique and individual limousine yacht tenders.

Sustainability is at the core of the Falcon Tenders brand appealing to the younger generation of yacht owners today as well as being relevant to the owners of tomorrow. We manufacture our main structures and small component mouldings using plant-based epoxy resin coming from the latest innovations in bio-based chemistry. The hull and deck of the limousine tender used lightweight foam sandwich construction for a stiff structure. Faired and painted to superyacht standards in high gloss Black Blue and Signal White, all the components are of the highest quality with attention to serviceability and longevity. Our clients demand the finest materials and extremely close attention to detail, and to that end we have sourced the finest exterior waterproof fabrics from Mariaflora, combined with interesting textures and details from Foglizzo leather, marble work surfaces, macassar ebony veneers and natural slate flooring.

The design concept is to create a feeling of relaxation in a luxurious beach club setting rather than just a shuttle for transportation only. The main intent is to give owners and guests the feeling they are lounging on a luxury terrace and not taxiing on a “boat” at all. The feeling of calm, tranquility and warmth, have been created by blending subtle colours of beautifully soft Mariaflora exterior grade fabrics, with mirror polished stainless steel space frame free standing sofas and relaxing sun beds. These are created using some of the oldest traditional techniques of upholstery, using tensioned webbing straps to support the cushions, giving a truly unparalleled level of comfort never before seen on an open limousine tender.  The soft fabrics are beautifully complimented by the natural stone flooring, natural teak decking to crew areas, highly polished macassar ebony veneers, and natural marble surfaces to the hostess service area. The intention was to give the feeling of a superyacht “beach club” and not a “water taxi”, as so many open tenders resemble. This is exemplified by, the sofas which appear to be free standing rather than fixed bench seating, along with the interesting asymmetrical layout of steps leading to the lowered main guest area. To aid with guest comfort and privacy, automated screens have been fitted at each end of the main seating area with high side screens to keep guests out the wind and splashes of spray whilst maintaining a clear view of the horizon and water. These are all fitted with chemically toughened laminated tinted glass creating an amazing feeling of light and space, with blue feature and warm white accent lighting.

The beach club limousine benefits from a large activity platform aft, fitted with a generous, practical removable swimming pool style boarding ladder and removable yacht quality thermostatic shower. With the addition of side or stern-facing boarding pole sockets, safe stern or side boarding is achieved whether stepping off at the beach restaurant for lunch or returning on board following an afternoon of water sports and swimming. All the deck and boarding areas are illuminated at night with concealed warm white neon LED strips and courtesy lighting. The electrically operated one piece engine hatch can be operated locally or from the helm station; this benefits from an inflatable style seal creating a truly waterproof hatch completely resistant to backwash should the vessel slow rapidly. The large hatch area benefits from sustainably sourced natural teak decking welcoming owners & guests on board, this also houses a pair of mirror polished stainless space frame luxurious soft fabric sunbeds, also utilising tensioned webbing straps to provide unparalleled comfort.

We have chosen to install a pair of the very latest Yanmar combustion engines fitted to Yanmar duo-prop stern drives due the popular demand of this engine within the tender industry, ease of serviceability and worldwide dealer network support. 12KW of Lithium batteries provide ample power to all the house lighting, entertainment and other systems to comfortably remain at anchor enjoying the beach club for many hours silently without the need for a generator. A proportional bow thruster is integrated to the proportional joystick control system, making maneuverability child’s play.

The forward helm & cockpit area has a dedicated helmsman’s rotating seat with an ergonomically designed control station, offering total control and comfort either seated for those longer passages or standing for close quarters maneuvers. The main console is coated with a custom robe red Nextel metallic textured suede finish avoiding any glare in sunlight or reflections during night passages. This has a custom Foglizzo Clorofilla leather binnacle and matching fully adjustable billet stainless steering wheel with hand sewn detail stitching. A total of four multifunction displays are installed; this gives the helmsman complete control of all systems on board, negating the requirement to switch between engine monitoring, chart plotting, depth sounding and system control.

Port and starboard folding bulwark steps that lower the boarding area are included with handrails and boarding poles for ease and safety of owner and guest transfers. These are fitted with automated warm white courtesy lighting, leading down the two generously-sized fixed steps to the forward cockpit. This forward area is fitted with a fully customised wet bar and stewardess service area, fitted with a hand beaten copper sink, automated fresh water system, fridge and individual glass stowage. The wet bar is finished with black galaxy natural marble, macassar ebony veneers, mirror polished stainless steel in-lays with a cherry veneered interior. A dedicated crew seat is located to starboard with an automated privacy and wind deflection screen. The cockpit is also fitted with a large waterproof storage locker with easy access.

A single step leads down to the main guest seating area comprising of two comfortable “L” shaped sofas with capacity for up to twelve guests making for pleasant harbour transfers and open water passages. Easy access storage is located centrally for guest hand luggage and safety equipment. Fenders and mooring lines are conveniently stowed in the forward anchor locker to avoid disturbing guests during transit. Inflatable seals are fitted as standard to all storage areas keeping any items completely dry.

The outer skin of the limousine is fitted with sections of speckled platinum metal coating to the main window eyebrows and the bow nose cone section. The eyebrows conceal LED neon feature lighting and the main engine room air intakes, with the nose cone housing the LED navigation lights and custom bright white LED day running and night docking lights. The hull is fitted with ten sapphire blue and white P24 underwater lights and three to the transom making the vessel truly eye-catching at night. Lifting and launching is designed to be safe and rapid, carried out using four fully custom five axis milled billet lifting cleats and twin garage beam cranes.

All components used in construction and assembly are of the highest quality with attention to serviceability and longevity. The tender’s primary and electrical systems are all clearly labeled and corresponding drawings are supplied making maintenance, fault finding and repair straightforward for onsite service engineers and yacht crew. The tender is assembled to best boat building practice and to full superyacht standard. All fixtures and fittings are selected to be the highest quality. Fabrications and stainless-steel items are custom made using 316 (A4-80) grade stainless steel, passivated and mirror polished. Assembly uses A4-80 grade stainless steel torx fasteners.
